弱勢群體與社工倫理

社工專業長久以來自許為弱勢者代言人或權益倡導者。然而受限於其中產背景，社工專業對精神病患、原住民、新移民家庭、受刑人及其家屬、藥物濫用者、及遊民等弱勢族群的處境並未能瞭解。透過檢視現有提供服務的公、私部門，也將探討相關專業倫理議題。本課程將提供學生機會整合對弱勢族群的瞭解及實務倫理。每一主題將包含影 片., 機構參訪 , 課堂討論三部分, 學生須積極參與課堂討論並完成一特定主題之小組報告。

Issues on the Disadvantaged and Social Work Ethics Spring 2004, Tues. 2:20~5:20pm Hon-Yei Yu

The Social Work profession has long ago regarded herself as the advocate of the disadvantaged. While being limited with the middle-class background, the profession has failed to understand the circumstances of the disadvantaged which includes the mentally ill, aboriginal people, migrant families, the prisoners and their families, drug abusers, and street people. Through closely examining the existing services provided by both public and private sectors, if there is any, issues on professional ethics will also be explored. This course intends to provide students opportunities to integrate their understandings of the disadvantaged people and practice ethics. Each topic will cover film, study tour, and lecture. The students are expected to actively participate in the class discussion and to teamwork on a specific project.
